Max Winslow joined the Hirst group in October 2023 as a Post Doctoral Researcher in computational chemistry. His research involves using QM/MM to investigate enzymatic ring opening polymerisation. He completed his PhD at Nottingham Trent University, where he used DFT-based methods and QM/MM to design a fluorescent probe sensitive to lipid membrane phase changes.
