Dmitry Karlov joined the Hirst group in May 2023 as Knowledge Transfer Partnership Associate. Working in collaboration with Colorifix he applies computational chemistry and machine learning approaches to facilitate the environmentally friendly coloration process. Dmitry Karlov completed PhD at Lomonosov Moscow State University applying QSAR and molecular modelling techniques to design new NMDA receptor ligands. He also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology and Queen's University Belfast. Research interests include molecular modelling and free-energy calculations, application of machine learning techniques to chemical problems.
