Research Interests
Bruno Falcone joined Hirst group in October 2021 as a Research Fellow. His project focuses on designing new inhibitors of bromodomain-containing protein 4 (BRD4) using machine learning, docking and free-energy perturbation methods. He completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge and then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Buenos Aires and the University of Cork. Other interests include: organic chemistry mechanisms, DFT, solid-state chemistry and experimental and computational determinations of solubility.
