Research Interests
My research involves studying the equilibrium dynamics and unfolding of
proteins using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations.
Personal
I graduated with an MChem from Leicester University in 2000 followed
by an MPhil from Manchester University where I worked on designing
novel NMR pulse sequences. I then spent 3 years in industry; in these
interim years I dabbled with analytical chemistry at AstraZeneca and
Boots Healthcare International and experimented with novel transdermal
drug delivery methods at the Aphton Corporation. I returned to academia
in 2005 to research protein folding using both experimental and
computational techniques as a joint member of the
Hirst and
Searle groups.
